steroids, Saline, Leukotriene Inhibitors, Astelin, Robitussin, Atrovent,
(Aspirin), Immunotherapy/Immunomodulation
IMPORTANCE:
High prevalence; frequently complicated by acute
and chronic sinusitis; frequently complicates and is associated with serious
bronchial asthma - through reflex mechanisms, direct bacterial seeding,
and probably same pathogenesis.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Treat aggressively, for symptom relief and to
avoid lower as well as upper respiratory tract complications.
